2009 Fall Sprint Adventure Race
The Fall Sprint Adventure Race is a 6 hour race that is done solo or in teams 2 or 3. The disciplines involved in this race will be mountain biking (on paved roads and single track), trail running, and orienteering. There will be no paddling at this event. Throughout the race you will be navigating your way with a map and compass. Some of the mountain biking will be on technical trails, and the navigation will require you to be able to read a topographical map. The order and distances for the different disciplines will shared at the start line or during the race.
This will be a rogaine style race designed for all participants to be on the course for the full 6 hours-if they so choose. The objective for a rogaine style race is to obtain as many CPs (checkpoints) as possible while meeting the 6 hour time limit. For more details on specific rules see the rules link.

Other Info
Gear List: We tried to keep the gear list as basic as possible. Part of the adventure especially when the weather can be sketchy and the terrain gets rugged is planning your gear appropriately. Although there is no paddling in the race you could still get wet as there will be water in the many ravines you will be entering and exiting throughout the race.
Teams/Teammates: If you are in need of either, check back on our race talk page or post a request.
